Parks departments run the public courts, permits, lights and lesson programs in most towns, and their office is the place to report a broken net or a locked gate. Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Erie peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

If the slides were open, this is a five star park but they closed them. Also they do have port a johns instead of a bathroom. It has some nice walking areas, a small creek, and some soccer fields. The playground is nice as well

This is a nice enough spot to spend an afternoon if you are just looking for a bit of fresh air. The walking paths are well-maintained and it is usually quiet enough to clear your head, though I wish there were a few more amenities like better seating or more shade. It serves its purpose for a quick visit, but I was not overly impressed by anything in particular.

Frontier Park This park is world class and should definitely be experienced before leaving Erie. I missed it on my first visit. It impresses like the woodsy stepchild of the Island/Lake Park. Instead of a massive lake and bay, you get lush, green fields, well-maintained dirt paths, and numerous, sturdy benches (big miss in lots of parks). The upper level has massive tennis courts, a big playground and plenty of walking space. The lower level (big hill) has the fields, forest, bridges and relaxing creek. I highly recommend Frontier Park.

Beautiful Park. Awesome slides! They get out in the sun. Obviously it just takes a beach towels and slide down them and it makes it even funner! Park was spotless and then walking trails were awesome!

Absolutely beautiful park and arboretum. So many beautiful trees and nature trails. We have drove by this place a million times and Iβm sad we never stopped before. Definitely a favorite stop in Erie now. Awesome place to take the dog for a walk and get some steps in!
